Mountain Biking

Spring in Whistler

April 15, 2009 09:43

It is one of the coolest times of the year here in Whistler - Spring. The possibility of good powder skiing still exists and afterwards you can still quickly drive to either Squamish or Pemberton for a mountain bike ride.
The mountains have so much to offer at this time of year. You can really see how diverse its recreational uses can be.
I just had an awesome powder day skiing around 40,000 (12,200 meters) vertical feet of powder, in the middle of April, on Whistler mountain. That same afternoon I went for a ride in Pemberton, climbed some sweet single track and descended some technical and majestic trails.

I am about to jump into the mountain bike season full steam ahead. My first stop will be Sea Otter and then a bunch of stops in Europe, starting with Elba in Italy with Wade Simmons and some other bros for some shooting, fun and great food.
I will make about three stops in Germany in May. For more details on my schedule and an up to date log of what I am doing, go to www.richieschley.com . While you are there, take a look at the camp page and join along this summer for some fun rides with my friends and I.
Hope you all have awesome rides and fun in the mountains. They are there just waiting for you to climb and descend them, so GET OUTSIDE and go for it.
