Brrrrrr, this feels like winter! After cycling up the Valldal with hints of sunshine we woke up the next days in cold wind and rain. Because it was that cold there was no snowmelt up in the mountains and the river was really low. But as we promised Andreas, a norwegian paddler we met the day before, that we would go kayaking with him, we put in anyways. After some nice low-volume pool and drop we got back on our bikes to work our way up the Trollstiegen pass – only to find even colder temperatures, more rain and wind. For sure the downhill was still good fun and the feeling of finishing the last pass of our trip made our hearts warm.
